But know it will probably cost more than you think it will and you'll end up with cables you paid for and can't do anything with, and see a lot of shrugged shoulders when you ask for help. I figured it out, I don't have the part numbers with me and I am not sure your boat will be the same anyway. Also I couldn't find a Mercury dealer who would order stuff and allow me to return it if it wasn't correct. It is a plug and play type system but there are several combinations of junctions and cables, and that becomes what is so tough to figure out. I got one shop to let me borrow their Mercury Smartcraft manual ( it was still in its plastic covering) but even with hat it was hit and miss. I could not find anyone who had retro-fitted smartcraft to a boat.
Mercury takes what should be a relatively easy process and makes it ridiculously hard.
